The dilution that causes grey and cream coloration is also caused by a specific gene – a dilution gene. Basically, the white areas are not white in color but are colorless hair. Wait, what about the white areas? The white areas are due to a masking or piebald gene. Calico’s have red and black colors so need to be female to exhibit both colors simultaneously in the coat. Females have an XX pair of chromosomes with each chromosome able to carry a different color, black and red, whereas males have an XY pair of chromosomes so they inherit one color on the X chromosomes, the Y chromosome carries no color. This is because coat color on cats is defined by the genes carried on their sex chromosomes. In some instances, the orange and black areas of the coat can be faded to creams and greys or shades in between, and in these instances, the cats are described as being dilute calico cats.īoth calico and dilute calico cats are rather unusual in that they are usually (99%) female. The orange and black parts of the coat can be distinct patches or blends. They are tricolor cats – white, orange, and black. So what is this pattern? These cats have a coat that is between 25% and 75% white with orange and black making up the remaining colors in the coat. They can be of any breed or can be a mixed breed – so long as the coat has the distinctive pattern they are called calico cats. Some people think they are a breed of cat but in reality, they are cats that have a calico pattern coat. That isn’t something you can’t do manually, but doing it in CleanMyMac while you are at it is just as easy. And the waste bin function keeps your waste bin clean. The mail function cleaned up attachments that are also kept in your mail server so don’t have to be kept offline on your harddrive. Most of that were cache files, log files and language files of languages you don’t use. Using the cleaning function the first time cleaned up about 30Gb of files, so that is impressive. The software looks at drive space in 3 categories: system files, mail and attachments and your waste bin. And as a Mac user you will know that drive space comes at quite a price on a new Mac. Over time your Mac will gather more and more files, logs, system files and other stuff you may not need but that does take up space on your hard drive. You don’t have to dive in to any settings, don’t have to look for files to delete and don’t risk throwing something out that will harm your Mac. But it is the ease of the way it does it that makes this so great. Couldn’t be easier.Īs you will see CleanMyMac doesn’t do a lot you couldn’t do manually. Hitting that button will start a smart scan that will scan the most important stuff. When you open the app the first thing you’ll see is the CleanMyMac logo and a big and round ‘scan’ button. The translations are very well done and feel native, so no worries about that. Of course it also supports Ukranian, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and many other languages. A nice extra is that it is translated in many different languages and it is even available in a smaller language like Dutch. It also uses subtle and nice sounding notification sounds that add to the charm of the software. The interface is clean and simple and feels every bit as stylish as native Apple apps. One thing I like about CleanMyMac is the good looking and easy to use interface. File utilities – find and delete big or old files.App management – updating and deleting apps and all their components.System optimisation – making your Mac faster.Protection against threats – optimising privacy and getting rid of malware.Let have a Quick Look at what CleanMyMac offers, we will dive in deeper later on in the review: That may be a little vague, but it does that by bundling several tools. CleanMyMac XĬleanMyMac X is software that helps keep your Mac running like it came out of the box. That alone is worth your support In my opinion. As a user you won’t notice they have to work from a country that is at war. Since the head quarters of MacPaw is located in Kiev, Ukraine it is even more impressive that they manage to keep their software and support running like normal. They are like Skylum, also a Ukranian software company that makes great apps. Tools Like CleanMyMac but also smaller but still interesting stuff like Wallpaper Wizard. The company developed several tools that will improve your Mac experience in smaller or bigger ways. They specialise in software for Apple devices, but also have tools for Windows (Like CleanMyPC, the Windows equivalent of CleanMyMac). MacPaw is a company from Ukraine that has been producing software for many years. You can buy CleanMyMac for €39,95 ($34,95) for one system for one year at the MacPaw store. My iMac is running the latest update of macOS Sonoma. In this CleanMyMac review I’ll tell you more about it.įor this review I ran CleanMyMac on my 24 inch iMac 2021 with 16Gb RAM and 512Gb SSD. But MacPaw thinks their CleanMyMac X software will help you keep it running even better. At least my experience with my Mac’s is that they don’t get filled up with junk that slows them down as a Windows PC. If you have a Mac you will probably feel it is running quite well. I hope the next episodes open up more, the Maxwell mission hub style would be perfect for a "FOB Manhattan" style of mission structure, and with added support of armor and air, combined with the quality that episode 1 was made with, it could be the best campaign in Arma history, if it isn't already. All in all, I really enjoyed the 3-4 hours I played it in. It was also challenging at high difficulties but not overly. After I removed the mods, the rest of the campaigned played out perfect. They warned against using mods when playing the campaign but I didn't listen and it caused a trigger to not work. The voice acting was leagues better than Arma 2 and there were no bugs. It was immersive and told a compelling story. Episode 1 was focused on infantry, and it worked well. I'm sure this will change drastically with episodes 2 and 3. My other gripe was that the combined arms aspect of Arma was not present. There are other little villages that could have been used for one of those missions. For example, I didn't like that they used Girna twice as a mission location. There are places they could have improved. Have you played the first episode? It's quite good. Sometimes, and in this case, less is more. And, hey, you'll be able to judge for yourselves soon enough. I believe the campaign has benefited significantly from the choice and I am proud of what we have accomplished. That's where my heart has always been with Arma (and, especially, OFP before it). On a more personal level, I, for one, am glad we went with the single player approach. We had to face the fact that we could not do so if we wanted to go both single player and multiplayer. We're a small team, comparatively speaking, and we wanted to do better. Their state was, in many ways, unacceptable. While I believe the multiplayer element did add something to each campaign's experience - it was originally how I first finished Harvest Red, though I would hardly have called it smooth - the positives did not outweigh the negatives. Having to develop the campaign for both a multiplayer and single player environment is a massive undertaking. Even now, they are not without their flaws. At this point, there are no plans to review. All included missions have been properly tested, definitely finished by either Comrades in Arms (or other smaller / bigger co-op focused group. However, I believe, and I'm sure my fellow campaign team members will agree, that the big reason was as follows: for all of their ambition, and for everything they got right, no one can deny that our previous multiplayer-compatible campaigns were at their most unstable in multiplayer upon their release. This collection lists the BEST Arma 3 coop missions which are stable and enjoyable to play. Though, that's not to say it's the same campaign it was back then. There were many reasons for us deciding to go single player only. Originally posted by Zipper5: Our campaign being single player only is not new information it has been the case since Arma 3's reveal. |
